Nintendo 3DS Movies From Netflix

Nintendo is expanding it’s partnership with Netflix to bring streaming movies to the Nintendo 3DS games system. Soon you will not only be able to stream regular movies but eventually 3D movies through your 3DS using your Netflix subscription. The announcement was made Thursday, July 14, 2011 and both parties are very excited about the upcoming partnership. Nintendo already has a successful partnership with Netflix with Wii owners using the service about 1.5 million times a day.

The Nintendo eShop already has the free down-loadable app available and  a basic Netflix library. Soon the offerings will be expanded to movies in 3D with no glasses needed which will add a whole new dimension to the Nintendo 3DS as well as your Netflix account. Now you will be able to watch your favorite 3D movie on the go. One of the things many people are looking forward to are the 3DS movie capabilities as so far it has shown to do a very nice job with trailers from the “Green Lantern” and “Yogi Bear”.

The Netflix service will cost $7.99 per month and it will only work where you have WiFi capabilities but this could really be an awesome service. This is sure to show the Nintendo 3DS as more then just another hand held gaming system as well. I know I’m looking forward to see what 3D movies are available soon.
