Ghost Recon 3DS

Ghost Recon 3DS

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars is not your typical Ghost Recon game. This is the first game in the series that is actually turn based and combines tactical action and RPG elements to make what many are calling the best game at launch for the Nintendo 3DS.

There is nothing ground breaking in the game itself other then the 3D effects. The game is solid as far as game-play goes but what really gets you into the game are the 3D effects. They make you feel like your part of the campaign between the amazing details of the environment.  Everything just seems to jump out at you and it’s like you can reach into the screen itself.

The basic story in Ghost Recon Shadow Wars is you are the commander of the Ghosts and have to stop the Russian ultranationalist Yuri Treskayev as he attempts to come to power. Seek out and disable the “dead hand ” bases where Treskayev is building his army of drones. These missions will take you through the deserts of Kazakhstan to villages and towns in the Ukraine to the frozen depths of Siberia.

With Ghost Recon 3DS you get 37 standard missions plus 20 more unlockable skirmish missions. The amount of content in this game is amazing and it will keep you occupied for 40 hours and then some. There is also a multiplay mode but the only real complaint here is that you have to pass the Nintendo 3DS back and forth. This game would have been perfect to play over the Nintendo StreetPass network. With that said the game is still a winner and so far the best reviewed games for the Nintendo 3DS games launch.
